CDG compatible player

What does this mean?

Note: CDG discs will only play in a CDG compatible player.

Karaoke comes in a number of different formats.

Karaoke CDG or CD+g - these discs play the music in a normal CD player but will not display any words. You need a CDG compatible player to see the lyrics on a screen. Some DVD & VCD players have CDG capability. Here is a list of some of the karaoke players that can play CDG discs:

Karaoke DVD discs - can play in a standard DVD player.

Karaoke VCD discs - can play in a standard DVD or VCD player.

Karaoke Super CD+g discs - The future of karaoke! Can only play in a Super CD+g compatible player or PC with a DVD ROM. These discs hold hundreds of songs, some up to 1234 songs on one disc! They are fantastic value for money as the cost per song is low. One disc can save you carrying & loading 50 or so CDG discs. The only players that can play Super CD+g are the CAVS models 103G, 303G, 202G, 203G.
